Editorial Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
At DermaGlow AI, our mission is simple: to make skincare advice that is honest, clear, and grounded in evidence — never hype. This Editorial Policy explains how we research, write, and review our content, so you know exactly what you are reading and why you can trust it.
How we research and source
Every routine, ingredient guide, and recommendation is built on credible evidence. We draw on guidance from reputable bodies such as the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and peer-reviewed dermatology literature. We aim to reflect mainstream dermatological consensus, and we avoid fearmongering, fad claims, and "miracle" promises.
Education, not medical advice
Our content is for general education only and is not medical advice. Skincare is individual, and nothing on this site replaces a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist. We label this clearly throughout the site. See our full Disclaimer.
How we review products
When we recommend products, we prioritise ingredients, formulation quality, and value — not who pays the most. We present honest pros and cons for every product, recommend across price tiers so every reader can find a fit, and only suggest products we would genuinely use ourselves.
Affiliate transparency
DermaGlow AI is reader-supported. Some links are affiliate links, and we may earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. We disclose this clearly on every post that contains affiliate links, in line with FTC guidelines. Full details are in our Disclaimer.
Accuracy and corrections
We work hard to keep our content accurate and up to date, and we review it periodically. Skincare science evolves, and so do product formulas and prices. If you spot an error, we want to know — email us and we will review and correct it promptly. Updated pages carry a new "last updated" date.
Our AI tools
Our free AI Lab tools (Routine Builder, Ingredient Analyzer, AI Face Scan) are built to the same standard: helpful, transparent, and clearly labelled as cosmetic guidance, not medical diagnosis. The AI Face Scan processes images in your browser and never stores them.
